Obama on Immigration Law

Immigration law in USA has been constantly in debate from long time. And there are many changes that are being constantly made with the changing needs. This is all because the land is looked at by the people as heaven and as land of opportunities. People from all over the world go in search of job, good education and permanent employment. And once they go there, they change their plan to settle down. This is one of the root causes for the increase in population in USA. Also, this leads to various other social and economic problems like unemployment.

One more thing is that many persons who immigrate into USA come with a non-immigrant visa as a tourist and at a later point of time get a job and settles down illegally. To avoid all this, the immigration laws are made stricter than before. Various ways in which fraudulent activities are done are identified and the acts are passed accordingly.

Obama, as a president has also played an important role in change of such immigration Law. It was found that proper channeling of immigration law will be the only way to solve many other problems which arises indirectly due to this.

Deporting of illegal immigrants to other countries who committed crime is one of the measures that were taken during his period. But Obama, when asked to share his view told that this not the only solution for the illegal immigration and settlement of large number of population. He also promised to resolve this issue by passing effective acts and bringing about great reform in the immigration process. But the deportation of illegal immigrants without any crime records can be avoided easily by applying for a work permit.

This announcement made by President Obama, on the deportation of undocumented or illegal migrants with criminal records, is invited by a large group of population. But on the other side there is also threat for his presidential post in the next election, since one group of people who are consistently deported, have raised a black flag against him and has challenged the government regarding the winning of the party in the next election.

But many Native Americans who pay tax feel this is a welcome relief to them all. This is because, they put forth their argument that if large number of people go on settling illegally in the country, then the burden not only increases for the government buy also for them individually. They believe that the undocumented immigrants make all use of their tax money in all the public facilities provided.

This reform according to Obama is the one based on economic imperative. And yes, this is true and accepted by almost all the middle class Americans. Also, measures are being taken to stop further entry of illegal immigrants, especially through land. Hence the borders that are shared with other neighboring countries are guarded severely, as to avoid entry of any illegal immigrant.

Thus, the measures took by Obama government is invited by large number of population; there are also a group who still oppose it.
