Fiance visa:

The Fiance visa is issued to the applicants who intend to marry a British citizen…It is issued by a foreign post where the applicant has claim to normal residence or citizenship. The visa runs for 6 months and during that period the applicant and sponsors are been expected to marry. A successful application for a Fiance visa will generally include evidence.

Applying for a Fiance visa:

Once the U.S. Embassy files and receives the petition from NVC, it will provide you with specific instructions, including where to go for the required medical examination.

During the interview time, ink-free, digital fingerprint scans will be taken. Some visa applications require further administrative process and it takes additional time. .

Acquiring the Fiance Visa:

  1. The embassy receives the file and processes it locally.
  2. The embassy sends a package to the beneficiary that includes a checklist of documents that must be collected.
  3. The beneficiary will complete the checklist and forms, If it includes any documents required immediately and it will send the package back to the embassy.
  4. Once it received, the consulate will send a letter to the beneficiary confirming the date and time of the visa interview.
  5. The beneficiary attends the visa interview. The interviewing officer will review all the documents, ask questions, and make a decision on the case.
  6. If it is approved, the K1 Fiance visa will be issued on that day or within the week, depending on the embassy.

Filing the Fiance Visa Petition:

  1. The U.S. citizen submits a petition for his or her foreign Fiance to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
  2. The petitioner submits I-129F Petition for Alien Fiance, along with Form G-325A Biographic Information, current fees and it required documentation to the appropriate USCIS Service Center.
  3. Depending on processing times, the petitioner receives the second NOA from the USCIS acknowledging that the petition has been approved.
  4. The USCIS Service Center forwards the petition to the National Visa Center (NVC).
  5. The National Visa Center will process the file and run preliminary background checks on the beneficiary, then forward the approved petition to the beneficiary's embassy…

Requirements for Fiance visa:

There are certain requirements for Fiance visas. They are been as follows;

1. You and your Fiance are legally eligible to marry under the laws of your country as well as the laws of the U.S.

2. You will marry the petitioning U.S. citizen within 90 days of entering the U.S.

3. You intend to enter the U.S. solely to marry the U.S. citizen…

4. The Fiance must also meet some certain standards, such as no previous immigration
law violations, and lack of a criminal record.

5. You must demonstrate the genuine intentions to marry your Fiance after she arrives
in the U.S.

6. Your Fiance must possess an international passport at the time of her interview
at the U.S. Consulate and embassy.
